The individual in this position will work with the Group Life line of business, Sales and Service to develop marketing strategies and campaigns to help achieve business and marketing objectives across market segments and audiences. In addition to supporting strategy development and market positioning, this position will be responsible for developing marketing programs and campaigns introduce and promote Life products and services.
Primary Responsibilities
1. Develop marketing strategies in conjunction with lines of business (LOB), marketing partners, e-business, public relations, advertising agencies, legal, and other partners
2. Oversee the development, execution and analysis of integrated marketing programs and campaigns in support of product and service launches
3. Assist in researching and analyzing relevant market trends, needs and buying patterns of employers, brokers, consumers and other market participants
4. Develop differentiated positioning for Group Life products in the marketplace
5. Manage the day-to-day relationship with the appropriate LOB for the development and execution of Group Life specific creative, direct response, collateral, websites, sales support materials, etc.
6. Manage internal relationships with Employer/Broker/Employee Marketing, Legal, Public Relations, Corporate Marketing, Purchasing, etc. for the development and execution of marketing programs
7. Other responsibilities as assigned
Knowledge/Skills/Competencies Required
? Candidates must have 5+ years experience in Marketing from an Insurance or Financial Services Environment we will not consider applicants from the P&C Insurance Market.
? Life Insurance product knowledge and understanding of the employee benefits market
? Undergraduate degree in Business Administration or related field or equivalent work experience
? BA / BS Degree Marketing or Communications, MBA a plus
? Marketing communications experience
? Project management experience
? Knowledge of the business ? Products, distribution and service functions
? Excellent oral and written communication skills - the ability to convey a broad array of information succinctly and accurately.
? Excellent organizational, planning and time management skills and the ability to multitask
? Excellent analytical skills and business acumen
? Strong marketing communications and positioning skills
? Strong problem solving skills
? Excellent interpersonal, influence and negotiation skills.
? Ability to effectively work in a matrix organization
