Soap Dish: Remembering ATWT?s Anthony Herrera

This week?s Soap Dish is devoted to the amazingly talented Anthony Herrera who we learned yesterday passed away last week. Anthony?s portrayal of the evil James Stenbeck on the CBS soap opera As The World Turns was one of the reasons I watched the show for years. Yesterday it was announced that Herrera had lost his battle with cancer. He died on June 21st in Buenos Aires, Argentina. In 1997 Anthony was diagnosed with a rare form of lymphoma that had been in remission for 10 years. However that did not keep him from doing what he loved. Along with continuing to bless the world with his fabulous acting skills Herrera wrote a book called The Cancer War, which is exactly what it sounds like a book about his war with cancer. If you have not read it I highly suggest you do because it is one of the best books I ever read. The very talented actor had a 40 year career in the business that spanned movies, TV movies and of course daytime soap operas.
